CABAL 01 - de vorba cu Bruno Pronsato

31 mai 2016
In asteptarea evenimentului din 11 Iunie de la Gradina Botanica, am reusit sa schimbam cateva cuvinte cu initiatorul proiectului Public Lover.

Hi Bruno, nice to see you again ☺, here, in Bucharest.
You are no stranger to the Romanian dance floor scene, you came here at the end of January, in Timisoara and in Bucharest.
How was it?

I had an amazing time - as usual. I love romania.

How do you feel about the Romanian dance scene?

I truly think that in general terms they are a little bit more advanced in what they listen to. I don’t get the sense that they are only at the club for the hits, but rather a musical experience. At least from what i’ve observed.

Last time you brought us Half Hawaii, now it’s time for Public Lover. What is the difference between these 2 projects?

Well, there is a huge difference. Public Lover is more about keeping things intimate and fun - yet danceable - It’s more of a project of emotion, with a touch of pop. Half Hawaii is definitely more about focusing on the the dance floor and keeping it happy.

Are there any future projects you are working on? What can we expect from you, in the future?

Well, at the moment, i’ve just finished my new archangel album, ‘a face wasted on the theatre.’ and am currently working on a piece with rhys chatham, which both will be both released on Foom records. Mr. Chatham and I will hopefully be performing our piece live on BBC. Also, i’ll be releasing a track on the new perlon superlongevity, in addition i’m working a free download EP that is sketches of my new album that i’ll be releasing soon via soundcloud in the next few weeks. Ninca and i are also working a new Public Lover record, which we plan to release as soon as possible.

As you see it, it’s all about the length ☺ (24h, 36h)… some of the artist push the limits way high. Do you have some limits you want to break?

Over 24hours is too much for these days. I tend to try to compress my ‘fun’ into a shorter intervals these days… getting sleep is pretty important at the moment.

When you are not in the studio, or performing, what does Bruno, as a person, do?

At the moment, i’m trying to spend as much time as i can with my girls when i’m not in the studio. It’s actually relaxing hanging with my girls. It’s keeps me loose and less focused, which is what i need right now to keep the ball rolling for the new bruno record.

Many thanks for your time,
